How Did Rob Holland Become a Top Level Airshow Perfomer and Competition Pilot? At a young age Rob’s father took him to an airshow, and from that point on he knew that flying in airshows and entertaining the fans was what he wanted to do with his life. Rob attended Daniel Webster College where he learned to fly, and earned two bachelors degrees. He went on to work as a flight instructor, corporate pilot, and eventually opened his own aerobatic flight school. During this time Rob was honing his flying skills and quickly moving up through the ranks of competition flying. Flying his first airshow in 2002, he began the long journey of becoming a well-known, polished act. This has made it possible where now, he can book the shows he wants, get the media attention required for corporate sponsorship, and travel throughout North America, Central America, and the Carribean doing what he loves to do. Everyone always asks, but no, there was no pot of gold to get him started. He simply worked very hard, gave up everything else, stayed focused, and didn’t let anyone talk him out of it. Rob encourages others to do the same, whatever their dream may be.

ROB HOLLAND WINS 2013 U.S. NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AND WORLD FREESTYLE TITLE!Rob Holland Ultimate Airshows is proud to announce that during the week of September 22nd, 2013 in Denison, TX, Rob Holland has once again successfully defended his title of United States National Unlimited Aerobatic Champion. Competing against the very best aerobatic pilots in the country, Rob won all three of the determining flights to bring home the gold medal. This is his third consecutive title flying his custom built MXS/RH aircraft - having won the national championship in 2011 and 2012 as well. In addition to dominating the ‘classic’ portion of the competition which is very structured and scored under tight guidelines, Rob also won the ‘4 minute freestyle’ flight which allows each competitor to be more creative, include tumbling maneuvers, use smoke, and fly their routine to choreographed music. Just two weeks after bringing home gold at the nationals, Rob won the 4 Minute Freestyle Title at the World Championships, also held in Texas this year. Some 60 competitors from around the globe gathered for the competition which also resulted in a Team Silver Medal for Team USA.
