So... EA Sports FC 26 is just around the corner. Anyone else following the updates? After the mixed bag that was FC 25, I’m not sure if I should be hyped or just wait and see. What’s your take?

Yeah, I feel the same. I’d rather wait a bit and see the first reviews before deciding if it’s really worth getting right away. In the meantime, I follow live football matches and scores, especially in the EFL, and I check updates here: https://ratingbet.com/football/england-championship/ It helps me stay up to date and enjoy football even outside the game.
EA Sports FC 26 huh? Haven't they been promising revolutionary gameplay for, like, the past decade? Is this just another reskinned version with slightly better graphics? Part of me hopes it's different, but the other part expects the same old frustrating Ultimate Team grind. I remember one time, my old FIFA career mode save corrupted right before the Champions League final – talk about disappointing! My personal Block Breaker strategy in those moments is usually deep breathing and the acceptance that sometimes, the game just wants to watch you burn.
Same. I say we make a “first impressions” thread once it’s out. Would love to compare Career Mode changes, gameplay feel, and if Pro Clubs is finally not an afterthought.
Right? At this point, we just want fair value. I’ll probably still buy FC 26, but only after reviews drop. Not doing another day-one disappointment.
Haha that’s actually true. At least with those you kinda know what you're getting. Meanwhile in Ultimate Team, you spend 50 bucks and pack a silver keeper 😂
Exactly. And honestly, I’ve started looking at games outside of EA entirely. Some platforms — even those focused on real money games — offer more consistent progression systems. I tried a few on pin - up recently just for fun, you can read about it more now and the way they reward playtime is oddly better than FUT.
Facts. I play Career too, and it’s like they just reskin the menus and add a new transfer animation. No depth, no logic in how players progress. They promised dynamic training... still waiting on that.
To be honest, unless Career Mode gets some serious love, I might skip this year. I’ve been playing that mode since FIFA 18 and it barely changes. Scouting is still clunky and post-match interviews feel copy-pasted from 2020.
Yeah, keeping an eye on it for sure. I saw their announcement and roadmap here: https://www.ea.com/games/ea-sports-fcThey’re saying “biggest gameplay evolution yet” but... well, they say that every year 😅
I just hope they finally fix AI defending. It’s been broken since like FC 22.
