Exploration, whether in space or by discovering new objects, is common in many of my favorite games.
If a game encourages exploration and has fascinating hidden elements, it has a better chance of winning my heart.

Wow, I totally agree! That sense of discovery is key. For me, it's all about finding those unexpected moments. Speaking of exploration and hidden elements, have you ever checked out the simulation game Solar Smash? It's a different kind of exploration, more about destruction than discovery, but there are some surprisingly fun hidden "achievements" you can unlock if you experiment enough! You might find it a good way to unwind after all that serious exploration in other games.
